Photographs of Cambridge Crown Tuscan items
Crown Tuscan was a pink "milk glass" type formula, introduced by Cambridge in 1932. The color was such a good seller that it was continued in production until the factory closed in 1958. Crown Tuscan is a pink opaque color that tends to vary in shade, from an almost white to nearly light brown. Often the edges are nearly transparent, giving the piece an opalescent look. Each piece of Crown Tuscan has an individuality of its own. Pieces were sold undecorated, but many pieces in Crown Tuscan were decorated at the Cambridge factory, and many were wholesaled to Abels, Wasserberg Co., of New York, where they were decorated with hand painted flowers and scenes, and sold by Abels, Wasserberg under their brand name, "Charleton".
The photographs of glass in this section of our web site feature some of the glass items in our members' collections. We will be making additions to the page as we get more pictures to display. Meanwhile, enjoy what we have.
